Invitation
The Argentinian painter Alejandro Argüelles has developed quite a following in The Netherlands. Since a few years he has been a valued participant in the SCHILDERSWEEK (painters week) in DOMBURG. He is a participant this year as well. I am glad and a bit proud that shortly before the Domburg event, he will exhibit in my gallery ARTANA.
Argüelles makes coastal landscapes rendered in strict tones of black and grey. His work is powerful because his subject matter is not just painted as such, but rather used as the starting point of an abstract composition.
You are cordially invited to the vernissage on April 27th, where, in the presence of the artist, the official opening speech will be given by H.E. Santos Goñi, ambassador van Argentina.
The exhibition will last until May 18th. ARTANA’s times are Thursday through Sunday from 11.00 to 17.00
